The Original BRITISH INVASION Guitar Hero:
DAVE DAVIES!

TODAY!!!
THURSDAY APRIL 5th, 10am

.......................
Join me, "Java" John on THURSDAY APRIL 5th as THE ACOUSTIC RECORD
Welcomes The Original BRITISH INVASION Guitar Hero: DAVE DAVIES!

I'm delighted to announce my interview with the lead guitarist and co-founder
(with brother Ray) of THE KINKS to The Acoustic Record!
Dave Davies is one of the most original forces in rock, having come
out of the first wave British Invasion with fellow rockers like
The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and The Animals.

Without Dave, classic rock, and hard rock guitar styles
including heavy metal and punk could have been nonexistent.

The Kinks, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990
(their first year of eligibility) alongside The Who, Simon and Garfunkel,
The Four Seasons, The Four Tops, Hank Ballard and The Platters..

Dave's original guitar riffs have inspired generations of bands from
David Bowie to Van Halen to Green Day & The White Stripes.

In addition to his dozens of albums with The Kinks, Dave in the past has
released three official solo albums, while touring to rave reviews
with his rocking Kink Kronikles show (releasing in 2004 the amazing
Live CD 'Rainy Day In June'). This year, 2007, saw the release of his
newest solo recording, the wonderful FRACTURED MINDZ!

What the Press are Saying:

New Internet radio show lining up musical talent

BY RAY OSBORNE
FOR FLORIDA TODAY

MELBOURNE -- - In the spirit of his former coffee house called "Kool Beanz," John Goldacker is lining up a grandstand of musical talent for his new show on Tropic Wave Radio Network -- a locally based Internet site.
"I believe in the music -- whether it comes from the local guy at the local coffeehouse or the ole' guys we grew up listening to who are still creating some of the best music of their lives but are not getting played on the radio," said Goldacker. "You also never hear live tracks or interviews on the radio any more. Well, I'm here to play it all!" said Goldacker.

Because the radio show -- Acoustic Record airing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday -- is on the Internet, it can be found world wide.
Goldacker, who also is known as "Java John," gets responses over the show's chat room from listeners from far-off places, including the Netherlands, the Philippines and even U.S. servicemen serving overseas. A serviceman named Bob from Palm Bay, who is stationed somewhere in southern Iraq, signed the guest book and commented, "Thanks for the little touch of home."

Locally, many remember Goldacker from his six years as the friendly proprietor and musical host at Kool Beanz in Cocoa Village. He met his wife, Jennifer, at the coffee shop, and they were married there. John recalls his musical marriage, when they were wed to the song "Feels Like Home" by Linda Ronstadt.

The cafe was the talk of the town in the late 1990s with appearances of various musical performers, such as Denny Doherty, lead singer with The Mamas and The Papas, and regional and local talent.

On his Internet show, Goldacker's lineup of interviewees include John Hall of the No Nukes, who is running for Congress; John McCuen of Nitty Gritty Dirt band; and former astronaut Story Musgrave. "Musgrave made a space poetry CD with Brian Eno playing the music," said Goldacker.
